For decades, Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Wilder was known first as a country music club—and then, increasingly, as a haunted one. Country singer Bobby Mackey opened the venue in 1978, hoping to create a place where traditional country music could be played live. The club became part of Northern Kentucky’s music life, hosting performances and drawing audiences from across the region. Its reputation as a paranormal destination grew through television appearances and the stories told about its basement.
